Catskill Expressionist

Deep in the Catskill mountains near Woodstock lies the rustic mountain cabin that American artist Raoul Hague spent a quiet forty years and produced his most important and compelling work directly carving from wood. His rooms filled with knick knacks he made and collected. This fascinating home now requires periodic conservation to keep it as he left it.

In the words of writer Michael Gotkin " The tableaux that he created inside his home constitute a visual text that reflects his concerns with mortality and the endurance of art."
Wouldn't you just love to spend a weekend there looking at his intricate decor, thinking about his art and life.

Hunky Trunks

Seldom do you have a piece of furniture that accompanies you on all of life's great adventures. The handsome travel trunk is one such item. Whether it's sitting in your first class cabin of a blue star liner or parked in your sitting room moonlighting as a coffee table awaiting its next journey. The trunk fulfils the criteria of being both beautiful, useful and timeless.
